1,000 study centers of the Open University of Bhoj by January 2022


BHOPAL (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh Bhoj Open University has decided to increase the number of its study centers to 1,000 by January 2022. The university has set a goal of establishing 800 study centers by this time. December 2021 and increase it to 1,000 by January 2022, said Vice Chancellor Jayant Sonwalkar.

“The increase in the number of study centers will also increase the university‘s reach in remote areas. We also decided to engage the services of placement officers delegated by the higher education department in the 52 districts to increase the gross enrollment rate, ”said Sonwalkar.

Placement officers will act as nodal agents for admissions to Bhoj University. They will receive additional emoluments from the University of Bhoj. These nodal agents will go to the grass level to inform people about the courses being organized by the university.

Nodal agents will interact with Panch and Sarpanch from the villages and tell them about the courses and the admissions process. This will bring the university to the gates of people living in far away places. The admissions process will be further streamlined, Sonwalkar said.

An awareness campaign will also be organized in coordination with the education department of the school for pupils in grade 12. In addition, the university will also organize campaigns on television, radio and other media. mass, so that more and more people know about the university.

At a university stocktaking meeting held last month, it was decided that the services of teachers in the higher education department could be taken over by delegation. Emphasis will be placed on professional and other courses. Study material will be sent to students by registered mail.
