19,363 to receive their diplomas at the TNOU convocation; BCA student from Coimbatore wins ₹25,000 cash prize from Commonwealth Educational Media Center for Asia

A total of 19,363 candidates will receive their degrees during the 13th convocation of the Open University of Tamil Nadu to be held on Monday. No less than 359 graduates will receive gold medals.

For the first time, 22 candidates will receive their doctorate. diploma.

Mr. Nivetha from Coimbatore, a Bachelor of Computer Application student, will be awarded ₹25,000 for outstanding performance in Information and Communication Technology by Commonwealth Educational Media Center for Asia, an affiliate of Commonwealth of Learning, Vancouver.

Up to 20 Mr. Phil. candidates; 5,661 postgraduates; 9,964 undergraduate students; 260 PG graduate students; 3,224 students in professional license; and 212 diploma candidates will receive their certificates.

Governor-Chancellor RN Ravi will chair the program and Minister of Higher Education K. Ponmudy will congratulate the graduates. Director of Indian Institute of Technology Madras V. Kamakoti will deliver the graduation day speech.
