Arden University Announces New Psychology Scholarship – FE News
Arden University – a leading UK provider of flexible, online and blended learning – has announced a new scholarship scheme for prospective psychology students.
As part of its ongoing commitment to supporting students who wish to embark on a career in the profession, Arden University will be offering $600 scholarships to those joining in 2022 to study either BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS) or BSc (Hons) Counseling Psychology.
As well as improving access for students who may struggle to fund their degree, the scholarship will support Mind, a charity that provides advice and guidance to people with mental health issues and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health. .
The value of the Psychology Scholarship is £1,000, consisting of a £950 tuition fee reduction and a £50 donation to Mind – Arden’s Charity of the Year. If all scholarships are successfully awarded, the total donation to Mind will be £30,000.
Gail Steptoe-Warren, director of the School of Psychology and Social Sciences at Arden University, said:
“Psychology is a very rewarding industry in which to work, with graduates of our programs going on to fill a wide range of vitally important roles all over the world. The Psychology Scholarship will support individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in such a rewarding industry with the cost of their tuition, opening up access to careers in this field while raising funds for a very worthy cause.
“To that end, we are delighted that through this initiative we can support Mind, a charity that does so much to support the mental health and wellbeing of the nation, with a £50 donation for each student who is successfully applying for a place on a qualifying course through the Psychology Scholarship.
To be considered eligible for the psychology scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: be registered as a new student at Arden; enrolled in an eligible program between 1st 2022 and January 31st December 2022 and meet all respective entry requirements to the eligible program.

“It continues to be a difficult time and many of us will feel the impact of the pandemic on our mental health and well-being, especially for those of us with existing mental health issues. out of four of us will experience a mental health issue in any given year, and it’s so important that no one has to deal with it alone.
“The money raised by Arden University will help us campaign to improve services and provide information and support. This includes services such as Mind Infoline, the Legal Line and our online adult peer support community, Side by Side, so that we can be there for as many people who need us as possible.
This scholarship represents a further commitment by Arden University to provide students – regardless of background, location, or current commitments and priorities – with access to the education they need to advance their careers and unleash their potential.
This is one of the many ways Arden University is spearheading change in the higher education sector, with its blended learning courses and the stimulation of digital software in the classroom giving students around the world access to internationally recognized professional qualifications and providing them with the real-life skills they need to succeed on the job.
