Bangalore Jnanabharathi University, Bengaluru 560,056 has requested applications for admission to the Honors Bachelor and Honors 4-Year Programs under the NEP for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Programs offered Honors BA (4 year program): Major and minor disciplines available: economics, political science, mass communication and journalism, history, visual arts, performing arts, sociology and women’s studies; Open Elective Courses – Science, Business, Management and Architecture

BSc Honors (4-year program): Major and minor disciplines available-physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer applications, statistics, zoology, botany, psychology, electronic media, electronic sciences; Open Elective Courses-Arts, Business, Management and Architecture

Program flexibility: the course is tailored according to NEP 2020 guidelines, with a holistic and multidisciplinary educational approach. The course allows students with flexibility to combine multidisciplinary subjects with professional arts / science courses. There are “multiple exit options” and an appropriate “certification” at the end of each year. The first year exit option includes the “certificate” in specialization (48 credits); The second year exit option includes the “diploma” in distinction (96 credits); The third year exit option includes the “Bachelor of Arts / Bachelor of Science” (BA / BSc Degree with 140 credits) and the fourth year exit option includes the “BA Honors / BSc Honors” (180 credits) . Overall, the focus is on conceptual understanding of the arts and sciences with skills improvement papers on the latest advancements in the field.

Eligibility: BA Hons: Applicant must have successfully completed the two-year PUC or equivalent with optional arts / science / business subjects, achieving at least 50% (45% for SC / ST / Cat-I) of grades in all of the documents studied, including languages.

B.Sc. Hons: The candidate must have passed the two-year PUC or equivalent with compulsory subjects, mathematics and optional science, guaranteeing at least 50% (45% for SC / ST / Cat-I) of the marks in total of all documents, including language.

Application: The application can be submitted online at no later than 28.10.2021. It can be submitted with free delay until 1.11.2021.

The completed online application must be uploaded and the hard copy, together with certified copies of all supporting documents, must reach the address indicated in the notification by 2.11.202 at the latest.
